Temple El Emeth was founded in 1974 through the merger of Congregation Anshe Emeth (founded in 1919) and Temple Emanu-EL (founded in 1904). Temple El Emeth proudly continues the mission of our predecessors serving the spiritual needs of our Jewish community through a modern Traditional egalitarian perspective.
Our Rabbi, staff, volunteers and membership provide a full array of religious, social, education and pastoral services in a welcoming, encouraging environment for all age groups. For our community and visitors we are pleased to maintain the only daily Minyan between Pittsburgh and Cleveland. Our activities are faith rooted in the values of Torah, affirm our connection with Isreal, our extended Jewish family and the community. The Temple El Emeth logo of "the Burning Bush" urges us to keep the fires of God and Torah faith burning through our actions in every facet of daily life.
The purpose of this congregation shall be to establish and maintain a synagogue for the worship of G-d and to conduct such religious, educational, social and recreational activities as will help further the cause and objectives of the synagogue in accordance with the Conservative Jewish ritual and tradition.
